Mozzicatos is our absolute favorite old timey Italian place to visit on Franklin Ave. in Hartford. Stepping inside is like stepping into old world magic. My affogato was was stupid good and Rosa is the best waitress ever. We love seeing her when we go. Such a family highlight!💓

First of all they have a ticket machine as you walk in. I’m assuming this is to know who the next customer to serve will be. But no…the staff conveniently forget to use it. Why is it there? Makes no sense and the customers end up looking at each other to see who’s next! Why not rid off it if they aren’ calling out the numbers. On a positive the bakery is spacious and beautifully laid out. There is a huge selection of items available. However there are no labels for any of the items (apart from the breads). Another inconvenience not only for the customer but also the staff member. We purchased Almond Cookies that were crispy on the outside and moist inside. Absolutely delicious! The Pistachio Walnut Muffin was definitely not fresh which is disappointing. The staff are polite and efficient. There is plenty of parking.

Nice bakery. Owner is super friendly and funny. Makes you fell welcome. It’s a nice play to relax, sit down and talk with friends and family. We were a group of 6. We ordered: croissant sandwiches and pizza. Coffee and sodas. Everything was good. Definitely coming back.

We did a little research and stopped here while in Hartford. We needed cannolis and some cookies for my daughters confirmation party. The second I walked in, it brought me back to being six years old and walking into an Italian bakery. It smelled and looked exactly the same. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was very clean inside. Lots of different cakes, cookies, Italian specialties, etc to try. We ordered a few other things besides the cannolis and cookies. The pizza was better than expected. If you’re getting cannolis, expect to wait a few minutes. They take your order and then fill them as you wait. It is definitely worth the wait. I didn’t expect to put this in the review, but these are the best cannolis I’ve ever had. They use a ricotta cream Which definitely makes a difference. The chocolate was very good also. You can also add cherries, chocolate chips, or pistachios to the ends of them. I will definitely be returning when I am back in the Hartford area. Five stars!
