Things to Do in Woodbury

Hogpen Hill Farms is a landscape sculpture park in Woodbury, home to 100 artworks by Edward Tufte spread across our 234-acre tree farm. Guests can explore stone creations, machinery, and Airstream trailers on extensive walking trails. Our team welcomes visitors on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from September 4 through November 1, with gates open from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. We provide a walking map guide, parking, and restrooms near the gift/gallery building.

The Golden Button is an arts and craft studio in Woodbury where we offer creative art projects and workshops for various ages. Our classes include guided painting activities, sewing instruction, and crafts like clay, paper mache, and spun cotton. We host special events and mini camps focused on different themes and techniques for children aged five and up, with options for family participation in projects like advent calendars. We also host birthday parties.

Studio Hill Gallery and Design Shop is an art gallery in Woodbury. Glebe House Museum & Garden is a historical landmark in Woodbury. Our house, built around 1740, combines gambrel and saltbox roof styles. We present a collection of 18th-century Woodbury-made furniture and feature the only Gertrude Jekyll Garden in the United States. Leroy Anderson House is a historic house museum in Woodbury, Connecticut, serving as the headquarters of the Leroy Anderson Foundation, Inc. We preserve the home of American composer Leroy Anderson and his wife Eleanor Firke Anderson, a cultural landmark of Connecticut Mid-Century Modern Architecture. Our house is on the National Register of Historic Places and contains an exhibit dedicated to Leroy Anderson. Visitors can view his workroom with original manuscripts, his library, and his grand piano. We invite the public to enjoy concerts and guided tours, often featuring musical performances in the living room using his Steinway baby grand piano.
