Sheboygan Breakwater Lighthouse is a tourist attraction in Sheboygan. We offer visitors a walk along the breakwater, leading to the lighthouse with views of Lake Michigan and the city skyline. Our lighthouse, originally established in 1839, is located at the mouth of the Sheboygan River. It began operation with a conical brick tower and a one-and-a-half-story keeper's dwelling. In 1857, a fifth-order Fresnel lens was installed in the lantern room, projecting light eighty feet above Lake Michigan. The current structure, a replacement from 1860, features a frame building with a lantern on its roof.
