Four solaire HimalayaFour solaire Himalaya is a landmark in Sorède showcasing a reconstructed solar furnace. We preserve the site where Portuguese scientist Father Himalaya pioneered solar energy, building a five-meter concentrating solar furnace with 260 polished metal mirrors in 1900. Our site retains the circular track and platform remains from the original installation. We also offer group and school visits by reservation.
